Three Principles
Stay golden. Please treat our local community like we know they will treat you, with the utmost respect and kindness. Our community members delight in embracing visitors and are genuinely eager to make your experience a memorable one. Please do the same for all that you encounter.
Leave no trace. This region is home to some of the last remaining tallgrass expanses in the world. Part of their splendor is the beauty and unobstructed views you will experience in this pristine and remote region. Enjoy the landscape through the lens, but leave it as you found it.
Respect the land and its people. While the Flint Hills provide an enjoyable escape from the hustle and bustle of life for many, remember that it provides a living for those that call this place home. Always be respectful and remember that the stewards of these lands rely on these pathways and spaces for their livelihood. Stay on the roadways, be patient when encountering local traffic, and obey all posted no trespassing signs.
